The third act demands and I killed her with passion
So she won't interfere with my daily affairs
And yet she keeps rising and gallops through all
Impaling her smile on my one sharpest flame

And true, I've commanded, as I've stepped on your altars
And said "no more!", for the devil still watched from the street
Up above me -- I've fathomed a linear ration
My own crimson rage or our lost, wayward lies

I gave her all and she gave me nothing

Yet in each waking hour, in moments of truth
I'm befriending this long lost inferno
"Lower your head, I will not burn alone"!
But I am, oh I am! And forever I will!

It has all come to this: my intentional sorrows
As you looked in my eyes and have found there a thought
That should never have been - my very own swan song
To heat broken hearts, and shatter my own

I gave her all and she gave me nothing

But if I choose fire to burn every nerve
Every sinew and spark, and the rash on my skin
A strong flame to cleanse all my shame, all my worries
His smile and my names and each tear in the inkwell

But if I chose fire - my blood is her wine
My own secret hell, made of scarlet obsessions
Then why it's still aching? Why it's still aching?
Then why it's still searing my eyes?

I gave her all and she gave me nothing
(I have hit all rock bottoms yet the end is unnamed).
